At eventEQ – “we love what we do and you can hear it, see it and
experience it in everything we do” – is not just a positioning
statement, it’s a way of life.
Started in 1988 as one of the first South Asian DJ services to help
pay for college, eventEQ grew to be one of the largest companies of
its kind very quickly. But along the way, we also realized that our passion lay much more in making things sound and look very good than in spinning music. So we started to focus on providing production management for small South Asian concerts. After graduating from our respective colleges, we took on “day jobs” to help pay the bills. But throughout our careers in automotive, IT and other industries, one thing never changed – we continued to pursue our passion of doing production management for concerts and other events. As we started and owned successful business ventures in the IT and mortgage industries, and started to live very busy professional lives, we never hesitated
to load a truck after a long day or on a Saturday to go do a concert.
It was in our bloods but we never realized it. So after selling one of
our successful business ventures, as we explored our options for the
future, our wives smartly made an astute observation – that no matter
what we did for a living, event production would never go away. So
they gave us the smartest advice of our lives – instead of finding
other things to do for a living and doing production for “fun”, why
not do production for a living. As we always do, we took our wives
advice and needless to say, eventEQ was born and there has been no
looking back. We truly believe that compared to audio-visual
businesses started by audio or lighting engineers, we are an
audio-visual business started and managed by experienced business
people who love this business! Our interest in establishing and
investing in long term relationships with our clients, our obvious
passion for everything we do and our unwavering commitment to the idea
that we succeed only when our customers do – has made us one of the
fastest growing event production companies around.
